The General Directorate of Taxation has begun implementing nationwide today a risk management plan for the bar and restaurant sector, with the aim of raising taxpayers' awareness of proper self-reporting.<\/p>\n
This Plan has been drafted with the close assistance of the International Monetary Fund, which will also continuously monitor its implementation, bringing to Albania for the first time the tax practice of risk management using modern methodologies.<\/p>\n
With this DPT approach, it aims to communicate to taxpayers in this sector the benefits they gain from accurately reporting their tax data, in order to reinforce their conviction that the law is equal for everyone.<\/p>\n
This sector was selected after an analytical assessment of their tax returns as a compliance-at-risk category, the formalization of which is closely linked to other sectors such as tourism, trade, services, etc.<\/p>\n
Approximately 14,000 taxpayers in this sector will be encouraged and assisted to correctly fulfill their obligations, as well as to self-correct them, reflecting the actual activities they carry out.<\/p>\n
