No. 113, dated March 1, 2023
For the determination of the national minimum wage
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution, and Article 111 of the law. No. 7961, dated July 12, 1996, “The Labor Code of the Republic of Albania,” as amended, and Article 4 of Law No. 10405 of March 24, 2011, “On Competences in Setting Salaries and Allowances,” upon the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Council of Ministers
SET:
1. The minimum monthly basic wage for employees nationwide, which must be applied by any domestic or foreign legal or natural person, shall be 40,000 (forty thousand) lek.
2. The minimum monthly base wage is paid for 174 hours of work per month, performed during normal working hours.
3. The minimum hourly base wage shall be 229.9 (two hundred twenty-nine point nine) lek.
4. Permanent allowances are provided on top of the base salary.
5. Decision No. 604, date September 14, 2022, The Council of Ministers“ Decree ”On the Determination of the National Minimum Wage" is repealed.
This decision takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette and extends its financial effects from April 1, 2023.
