Search for an NIPT or a registered business is made in the commercial register of the National Business Center, using the NUIS, the name of the entity, or other information. The QKB publishes on its official website every registered record, in accordance with Article 61 of Law No. 9723/2007.

Read →Registration with the QKB gives you your NIPT, but it doesn't always grant you the right to start any activity. Some activities require a special license or permit before you can open your doors. Their categories are defined by Law No. 10081/2009 on licenses, authorizations, and permits, whereas Decision No. 538/2009 of the Council of Ministers Regulates those matters handled by or through the QKB.
The practical rule is simple. Before you sign the lease or purchase the equipment, verify whether your activity requires a license and what conditions the premises must meet.
