
The initial registration of an LLC is done online through the e-Albania portal, free of charge and within one business day. For those who need guidance, the process of registering an LLC on e-Albania is simple and accessible. The service registers the company simultaneously with the Commercial Register and the Beneficial Owners Register.
The application is completed by the company administrator, logging in as an individual (citizen) with their personal identification number. Partners who are not designated as administrators cannot complete the application themselves. If the administrator wishes to delegate this to a third party, the designated administrator must issue a special notarized power of attorney for the latter.

Electronic signature is mandatory. Without it, the form is not signed and the application is not submitted. Obtain an electronic signature through the relevant e-Albania service before starting to fill it out.
If you have book in advance the name of the company at the QKB, during completion you will see the field: “If you have reserved a name for the company, fill in the registration number.” Enter the reservation number in that field.
If you do not have a reservation and the name you enter is already in use, the system will notify you immediately. You can enter another name without starting the procedure from the beginning.
The statutes and the deed of incorporation must be signed by all founders and scanned in PDF format. The upload deadline is 30 days from the date of incorporation.

Log in to e-Albania as an individual (citizen), select the “Application for simultaneous initial registration in the Commercial Register and the Register of Beneficial Owners”and click “New Application”. The total completion time is about 25-30 minutes.

Fill in the basic information:
Company name. The system immediately checks if the name is available. If you have a reservation number, enter it in the designated field.
Date of incorporation. Date of signing the articles of incorporation.
Legal form. Choose LLC.
Ownership. Indicates whether the company is 100% Albanian or foreign-capital. This classification affects the required documentation.
Duration. Usually, indefinitely is chosen.
Object and activity. Choose General or Specific. If you choose Specific, write down the concrete activities. The text must correspond to the object written in the statute.
The main address (prefecture, district, municipality, municipal unit, street address) must be completed. Other addresses where the activity is carried out may also be added if the company operates in several locations. These latter are considered secondary addresses.

The total capital value (minimum 100 ALL) must be filled in, the paid-up value if the capital is paid, the number of shares, and the type of contribution (cash and/or kind).
If the capital has been paid in full, the bank mandate is charged. If it has not yet been paid, the settled value field is left blank.
For each founder (partner), a separate form is completed with citizenship, NID, contribution value, equity share, and address.
If the partner owns the share as a representative of someone else, the "Owns share as representative" field is activated and the data of the represented person are completed.
The administrator is treated as a separate section, distinct from the founders. Even when the administrator and partner are the same person, the data is entered twice — once as a founder and once as an administrator.
The number of administrators is completed, if they act as a collegiate body, the term of appointment (maximum 5 years), and if there are limitations on powers.
This section is only to be completed if capital has been contributed in-kind and valued by a licensed expert. If there is no in-kind capital, this section is left blank.
Optional section to fill in phone numbers (up to 3), email addresses (up to 2), website address, and trade name if different from the legal name.
This data is recommended because it appears in the public registry of the QKB.
This is the most important tax section of the form.
The projected annual turnover is a mandatory field. The value you enter directly impacts your tax category (see tax section below).
The company is automatically registered for Social and Health Insurance (Employer category) and Corporate Income Tax. Registration for VAT or Withholding Tax is optional based on need.
Field of Activity and NVE Code. Click the Add button, select the activity from the list, and mark one as the Main NVE Code. You may select multiple activities. Example: Financial consulting companies choose code M7022 "Business and other management consulting activities."
Citizenship, NID, address, ownership type (direct or indirect), control type, beneficial owner designation date, and ownership percentage are completed.
If no individual is identified with 25% or more, a written statement signed by the administrator is submitted.
The system displays specific upload fields for each document. The allowed format is PDF only, with a maximum size of 10 MB per document.
After uploading, click Send, then Send signing code. Enter the code and click Sign. QKB will notify you via email and in your My Space on e-Albania.
Cost: Free of charge. Turnaround: 1 business day. Public holidays do not count.
When an application is made by someone other than the administrator themselves, a special notarized power of attorney is required, regardless of citizenship.
When the administrator is a foreign citizen, it is recommended that they appoint an Albanian citizen by notarized power of attorney to carry out the application. The e-Albania system has practical limitations with foreign administrators: it requires an Albanian address and does not always recognize foreign identity.
Foreign citizens can also apply themselves with a temporary 14-day free electronic signature from e-Albania, but this option is not always reliable. A power of attorney remains the safest solution.
When the representative is outside of Albania, the power of attorney is drafted by a notary in the country of residence and is subject to apostille or legalization. Foreign documents must be accompanied by a certified translation into Albanian.
The countries whose documents are accepted without apostille are: Hungary, Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Bulgaria, and Kosovo.

Companies with annual revenue under 14,000,000 lek pay 0% corporate income tax until 2029, according to Law No. 29/2023 "On Income Tax.""
Companies with an annual turnover exceeding 10,000,000 ALL are required to register as VAT taxpayers.
When you register during the year, the projected turnover for the remaining months is automatically converted into an annual value, and this affects the calculation of tax limits.
Example: Register in November, 2 months until the end of the year, and declare a turnover of 5,000,000 ALL for those two months. The system calculates the annual turnover as follows: 5,000,000 ALL divided by 2 months, multiplied by 12 months, equals 30,000,000 ALL. This exceeds both limits: profit tax (14,000,000 ALL) and VAT (10,000,000 ALL).
Consult me before filling out this field. Incorrect declarations will automatically place you in unexpected tax categories.

A power of attorney is needed whenever the application is made by someone other than the administrator themselves.
The identification document of the authorized person is uploaded only in its own field, not together with the power of attorney. An error will lead to rejection.
To be validated based on the place of its preparation. If the power of attorney is signed before a notary in Albania, it is directly valid and does not require any additional procedures. If it is signed before a notary outside Albania, it must be legalized with an apostille stamp according to the Hague Convention, or with diplomatic legalization if the country is not a party to this convention. The power of attorney must also be accompanied by a certified translation into the Albanian language.
