Receiving financial assistance – Continued processing of all complaints submitted by individuals and taxpayers

The General Directorate of Taxes considers it very important to inform taxpayers, individuals, and the public at large about the processes, innovations, and procedures they must follow, as well as to facilitate or simplify them.

The application process for obtaining financial assistance is one of the priorities of the Tax Administration. Offering the simplest possible way for taxpayers to complete the application, processing requests from the Regional Tax Directorates, and automatically processing them, depending on the type of benefit, are some of the measures that were taken to enable the completion of the payment within the shortest possible time for each beneficiary.

Also, the General Directorate of Taxes considers the handling of complaints submitted by individuals and taxpayers regarding the receipt of financial assistance under Government Decree No. 254, dated March 27, 2020, as amended and Government Decree No. 305, dated April 16, 2020, as amended. Every complaint submitted has been handled with the utmost fairness, and after verifying each case and identifying beneficiaries of financial assistance under Package 1 or 2, the appropriate actions have been taken to provide the opportunity to complete the Application for Financial Assistance, by generating the relevant form in the system. In cases where the complaint's processing revealed that the criteria set forth in the aforementioned government decrees were not met, the individual or entity that submitted it was sent a response explaining the reasons for the request's rejection.

The tax administration remains fully committed to implementing the aforementioned government resolutions, ensuring the most accurate handling of every complaint submitted by individuals or entities, as well as rigorous review by the Regional Tax Directorates.

Similarly, in cases where the taxpayer has inaccurately entered the bank account details of employees who are beneficiaries of financial assistance, the taxpayer has been given the opportunity to correct them. After the bank account information has been corrected, no further verification is necessary; processing of the payment and transfer of the benefit amount (26,000 or 40,000 lekë) to each beneficiary's account should proceed immediately.
