The General Directorate of Taxes informs taxpayers and interested individuals that, in implementation of the measures taken by the Albanian Government for financial assistance, is working intensively to implement the second financial assistance package, the beneficiaries of which will be a significant number of employees of small and large businesses.
Currently, entities with annual revenue of up to 14 million lek, closed according to orders from the MSHMS, are applying for financial assistance for their employees, and this process is proceeding at a rapid pace, including accepting applications, verifying eligibility, and then disbursing the financial assistance to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
The application for financial assistance under Package No. 2 will be submitted online via e-filing at taxes.gov.al, by means of a special form, for which all necessary measures are being taken to make it as simple as possible, and in the meantime the verification of data and criteria is carried out through processes that require minimal approval time.
Since the application for financial assistance under Package No. 2 will be made using a different form from that of Package No. 1, and will apply to thousands of individuals who were not beneficiaries under Government Decree No. 254, dated March 27, 2020, The General Directorate of Taxes urges all taxpayers, to avoid an artificial increase in the number of applications, not to complete the form that may currently appear in the system, as it applies only to beneficiaries under Package No. 1.
In a second notice, we will inform you about the criteria that must be met and how to apply for financial assistance under Package No. 2.
The tax administration remains fully committed to providing assistance and information to any interested individual or entity, as well as to continuing the rigorous implementation of this process, in the joint effort to best manage the emergency situation created by COVID-19.
