With the VKM No. 474, dated 15.6.2020, The reimbursement of fines imposed by authorities of foreign countries on Albanian citizens, who due to border closures exceeded their permitted stay in these countries during the period March 10 - June 1, 2020, has been approved.
Every individual, an Albanian citizen, who has been fined in foreign countries for the above reason, must possess:
- the receipt for payment of the fine, which must be submitted, translated and notarized,
- bank account details (bank name and IBAN);
- photocopies of the individual's identification document (passport, identity card);
- Individuals must submit contact information and a personal phone number.
- The above documents must be submitted to the General Directorate of Taxes, via postal service (or post box at the GDT).
The General Directorate of Taxation invites all interested individuals to submit accurate documentation as required in order to ensure a prompt and timely refund, as well as to avoid delays in this process. V.K.M. No. 474, dated 06/15/2020.
