Restrictions on the C@TS and e-Filing electronic tax services were announced by the General Directorate of Taxes for the period from December 31, 2024, at 2:00 PM, until January 5, 2025. The interruption was related to system updates. Law No. 29/2023 on Income Tax.

What happened with the electronic tax services at the end of 2024?
According to the DPT notice, the C@TS and e-Filing systems operated with limited services for six days. The goal was to have the 2025 returns and calculations issued under the new rules of the income tax law.

Similar restrictions may also be announced in other years, whenever the DPT updates its systems. Notices are usually published in the last days of December, so it's worth checking before the year ends.
