SECTION D – ELECTRICITY, GAS, STEAM AND AIR CONDITIONING SUPPLY
This section includes the activity of supplying electricity, natural gas, steam, hot water, and others through network infrastructure (lines, mains, and pipes). The network dimension is not fixed; the distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, and others in industrial parks or residential buildings is also included.
This section also includes electric power and gas utility operations, which generate, control, and distribute electricity or gas. It also includes the supply of steam and air conditioning. This section does not include water operations and waste removal services, see 36,37. This section also does not include gas pipeline transportation. (mainly long distances). .
35 Electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning
35.1 Generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power
This group includes the generation of electrical energy, transmission from generation equipment to the distribution center, and distribution to the consumer.
35.11 Electricity generation
This class includes:
- the activity of production facilities that generate electricity, including thermal, nuclear, hydroelectric, gas turbine, oil, and renewable sources.
This class does not include:
- production of electricity through waste incineration, see 38.21
35.12 Electrical energy transmission
This class includes:
- transmission systems activity that transports electrical energy from generation facilities to the distribution system.
35.13 Electricity Distribution
This class includes:
- the activity of distribution systems (like lines, poles, meters, and installations) that transport electricity received from generation sources or transmission systems to the final consumer.
35.14 Electricity Trade
This class includes:
- electricity sales to the user
- the activity of electricity commissioners and agents who arrange the sale of electricity through distribution systems operated by others
- electricity exchange activity and transmission capacity in electricity power
35.2 Gas production; pipeline distribution of gaseous substances
This group includes the production of gas and the distribution of natural or synthetic gas to the consumer via pipelines. This also includes the activities of traders or brokers who arrange the sale of gas.
from distribution systems to others. Gas pipeline separation operations, carried out mainly for long distances, contacting gas producers with distributors, or urban centers, are excluded from this class and classified under pipeline transportation activities.
35.21 Gas Production
This class includes:
- production of gas for gasification purposes from coal carbonization, from agricultural by-products or from waste
- valorization of gaseous fuels with special calorific value, from purification, mixing, and other processes from gases of different types including natural gas
This class does not include:
- production of raw natural gas, see 06.20
- coke oven activities, see 19.10
- production of petroleum by-products, see 19.20
- industrial gas production, see 20.11
35.22 Distribution of gaseous fuels through pipelines
This class includes:
- transportation, distribution, and supply of gaseous fuels of all types through the pipeline system
This class does not include:
- long-distance gas transport via pipelines, see 49.50
35.23 Trade in natural gas by pipeline
This class includes:
- gas sales to the user through pipelines
- the activity of commissioners and gas agents arranging the sale of gas from distribution systems to third parties
- Product and transfer capacity exchanges in gaseous fuels
This class does not include:
- wholesale of gaseous fuels, see 46.71
- wholesale sale of gas cylinders, see 47.78
- direct sale of fuels, see 47.99
35.3 Steam and air conditioning supply
35.30 Steam and air conditioning supply
This class includes:
- production, collection, and distribution of steam and hot water for heating, energy, and other purposes
- production and distribution of cold air
- production and distribution of fresh air for cooling purposes
This class does not include:
- ice production for cooling purposes, see 11.07
