This class includes family activities such as employers of domestic staff like maids, cooks, waiters, valets, butlers, laundresses, gardeners, doormen, stable hands, drivers, caretakers, governesses, nannies, tutors, secretaries, etc.
This class does not include:
– services such as cook, gardener, etc. as part of independent services (enterprises or individuals), see depending on the type of service.
Activities of production of goods and services by households for own final use
This division includes the activities of producing goods and services for own final use by households.
Families can only be classified here if it is impossible to identify the main activity for the family's life activities. If families are engaged in commercial activities, they should be classified under the main activity performed.
98.1 Production activities of households for fixed assets for own final use
98.10 Goods-producing activities of households for own final consumption
This class includes the production activities of non-marketable goods by families, meaning, activities of families that are engaged in various activities that produce goods for their life necessities.
These activities include hunting and gathering, farming, the production of shelter and clothing, and other goods produced by families for their livelihood.
If families also produce goods intended for sale, they are classified in the appropriate industry according to NACE. If they are primarily engaged in goods production activities, they are classified in the appropriate industry according to NACE.
98.2 Activities of households as employers of domestic personnel, unclassified as to type of production
98.20 Imputed rental services produced by owner-occupied housing
This class contains the activities of producing indispensable family services. These activities include cooking, learning, caring for family members, and other family services for their life needs.
If families produce different goods for life purposes, they are classified under family goods production activities for their own use.
