As part of the ongoing improvements to the Self-Care portal, in the context of implementing the Law No. 87/2019 “On the invoice and the monitoring system of turnover” Following the amendment, the General Directorate of Taxation informs taxpayers that a development has been made regarding the new format of the simplified invoice.
To make this process as easy as possible for taxpayers who, according to Government Decree No. 220, dated March 12, 2020, “On the determination of the category of taxpayers and the criteria for using the simplified fiscalization procedure”, They can issue invoices through the Self-Care portal; specifically, the following changes have been made for issuing invoices for cash payment:
- Item List: In the “Taxpayer Data” menu, a “Item List” submenu has been added, where taxpayers initially register the products/services they offer, specifying the price, unit of measure, item code or barcode, etc.
- In the “Invoices” menu, the “Issue Invoice” option pre-populates the taxpayer's details such as Business Unit and Operator. The taxpayer adds items that they have previously recorded under point 1 above by searching the products/services list by code or designation.
- After selecting the item, the taxpayer can specify the quantity offered and the various discounts that can be applied to certain customers for each item.
Please note that before issuing the simplified cash invoice, the taxpayer must first have previously registered the list of items in accordance with point 1 above.
