Notice regarding the reimbursement of fines imposed on Albanian citizens outside the Republic of Albania as a consequence of the situation caused by COVID-19.

The General Directorate of Taxes informs the general public and interested individuals that the refund of fines imposed on Albanian citizens, who due to the border closures, as a result of the situation caused by COVID-19, have exceeded their permitted period of stay outside the Republic of Albania, during the period from March 10 to June 1, 2020. Any individual, an Albanian citizen, who has been fined by international authorities for the above reason, must provide:

• the document proving payment of the fine,
• any document proving that its payment has been made, as well as
• Individual bank account data (such as bank name and IBAN).
• Individuals must also submit a personal contact number.

The above documents, translated and notarized, must be submitted to the General Directorate of Taxes via postal service (or in the mailbox at the General Directorate of Taxes).
