Notice regarding the submission of the Profit Tax Declaration and Financial Statements for 2019, as well as the payment of Profit Tax for 2019 and 2020.

The General Directorate of Taxes reminds taxpayers of their obligation to submit the Profit Tax payment declaration and financial statements for the fiscal year 2019, in accordance with Law no. 8438, dated 12.28.1998 “On Income Tax,” as amended, Ministerial Decree no. 5, dated 01.30.2006, “On Income Tax,” as amended, Decision of the Council of Ministers no. 922, dated 12.29.2014 “On the mandatory submission of tax declarations and other tax documents, only in electronic form,” as well as the requirements of Law no. 25/2018 “On Accounting and Financial Statements.”.

• The deadline for filing the annual Profit Tax return for the fiscal year 2019 via the e-filing electronic declaration account, is data March 31, 2020.
• For taxpayers with annual turnover over 14 million lek, the payment deadline for the calculated tax reduced by the amounts determined according to Article 37 of Law No. 8438, and by the prepayments made during the tax period It is March 31, 2020.

Meanwhile, in implementation of Normative Act no. 10 dated 26.03.2020 “On an amendment to Law no. 8438 dated 28.12.1998 “On income tax”, as amended”, (Download here We are informing you about the deadlines for: submission of financial statements for all taxpayers, payment of Annual Profit Tax for 2019, as well as the advance installments for 2020., for taxpayers with annual turnover up to 14 million lek:

• For all taxpayers, the accounting balance sheet, together with its annexes, as well as any other data specified in the Minister of Finance's Instruction No. 5 dated 30.01.2006, "On Income Tax," as amended, in implementation of Law No. 8438 of December 28, 1998 "On Income Tax," as amended, Submitted by the due date July 31, 2020.
• For taxpayers with a turnover of up to 14 million lekë, the tax calculated on the basis of the annual declaration of taxable income, reduced by the amounts specified in Article 37 of Law No. 8438, and by the prepayments made during the tax period, is paid by the taxpayer with the corresponding payment order, within the second half of 2020.
• For taxpayers with a turnover of up to 14,000,000 (fourteen million) ALL, the profit tax installments for the first and second quarters of 2020 are prepaid into the tax authorities' account by December 31, 2020. The advance profit tax installments for the third and fourth quarters of 2020 are prepaid into the tax authorities' account by December 31, 2020.
