In September 2021, the General Directorate of Taxation launched a three-month plan, with trained teams of employees visiting small businesses on-site to help them complete the necessary steps of fiscalization. The program included a calendar of visits by tax regional directorates from September to November 2021.

What did the 2021 program help with?
During visits, trained staff helped businesses with four concrete steps: creating an account on the e-Albania portal, applying for an electronic certificate, uploading the certificate to the Self-Care portal, and registering the business's data on the same portal. These remain the same basic steps that every new business follows today when it starts the fiscalization process, simply without the physical on-site assistance that was provided back then.
