Ministry of Finance and Economy It has announced that, given the situation that has arisen in recent days due to the malfunction of the e-Albania government portal, the National Business Center will apply the provisions of the Code of Administrative Procedures regarding the deadline for filing financial statements with the commercial register.
“Based on Article 54 of the Code of Administrative Procedure, the deadline for filing financial statements with the commercial register will be extended by as many days as the e-Albania government portal was unavailable. Entities that have not yet applied to file their financial statements will be rescheduled to file them within the extended period of the original deadline, the finance notice concludes.
July 31 is the deadline for submitting the 2021 financial statements.
Since the cyberattack on E-Albania on July 17, submitting financial statements, which is done through the E-Albania system, has been impossible, causing concerns among entities that were unable to access this service.
The fine for failing to file financial statements has been raised this year to 60,000 lekë, up from 15,000 lekë previously. There are nearly 20,000 entities legally required to submit annual financial statements.
The QKB's internal system is currently not presenting any issues, but due to the attempted cyberattack that occurred a few days ago, all government platforms, including the e-Albania platform, are on backup until a full scan is completed, at which point they will be restored to online functionality.
