VAT exemption under the reconstruction framework: the Tax Administration publishes the list of entities with authorizations.

For implementation of Government Decree 143, dated February 13, 2020, “Procedures for issuing authorization for reconstruction entities and for exemption from value-added tax on the supply of goods and services for the purpose of the reconstruction process,” the Tax Administration continues to issue authorizations and fully monitor this process.

The government has initiated the reconstruction process, aiming to mitigate the impact of the devastating earthquake of November 26, which left thousands of families homeless.

According to a previous government decision, entities that will be part of the reconstruction process will be exempt from Value Added Tax in an effort to reduce costs. Most recently, the General Directorate of Taxation published the list of taxpayers who have received the relevant authorizations to benefit from this measure, announcing that the list will be updated continuously.
