Accountant, in English "Accountant," is the role that manages its own portfolio of clients and supports the Senior on the largest clients. It is an open position for both candidates with experience and those without work experience.
AlProfit Consult is an accounting firm in Tirana, founded in 2015. Today we are a team of about ten people and work as external accountants for around two hundred Albanian, Italian, and English-speaking businesses.
Work is organized by plan, not by urgencies. The week starts with the agenda in Odoo, where everyone sees what's coming up and what's being closed that week. During the week, you work on your clients' documents and records, respond to their questions, and prepare statements that are due. Once a week, you have a one-on-one meeting with the Senior responsible for your growth.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Work is planned so that you won't be working outside those hours on things that could have been foreseen.
We're not looking for people who know everything. We're looking for people who want to get better.
We accept candidates who have completed their studies in finance and accounting, as well as in other business- and management-related fields, and we also consider students in their final year. For us, what matters is how you think, how you communicate, and how you approach your work, not just your degree title.
We value the ability to work in a team, the desire to learn, responsibility for the work taken on, and simplicity in communication. Knowledge of English or Italian is a big advantage, because some of our clients speak these languages and you will use them every week.
If you don't meet all the technical criteria but believe you have the attitude and desire to learn, apply. Technical skills can be taught. Attitude and responsibility are much harder to teach.
From day one, you have a senior who is responsible for your growth and a written plan for the first thirty days. Our procedures are written so you don't have to learn them by making mistakes. No one is left alone when facing a new case.
The typical path from this position leads to Senior Accountant, that is, to independently managing a portfolio and mentoring a junior colleague. Evaluation is conducted twice a year, using written criteria that are the same for everyone and known from day one. It doesn't depend on a momentary impression.
