For the determination of the national minimum wage

In support of Article 100 of the Constitution; Article 111 of the law no. 7961, dated 12.7.1996, “Labor Code of the Republic of Albania”, amended, and Article 4 of Law no. 10405, dated 24.3.2011, “On the powers for determining salaries and compensations,” at the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Council of Ministers.

SET:

The minimum monthly basic salary for employees nationwide, which must be applied by every person, legal or physical, domestic or foreign, shall be 34,000 (thirty-four thousand) lekë.

1. The minimum monthly base salary is given for 174 working hours per month, performed during normal working hours.
2. The minimum hourly base wage shall be 195.4 (one hundred ninety-five point four) lek.
3. Permanent additions are given on top of the base salary.
4. Decision no. 158, dated 12.3.2022, of the Council of Ministers, “On determining the minimum wage nationwide,” is repealed.

This decision enters into force upon publication in the Official Gazette and extends its financial effects from September 1, 2022.
