Update, October 2026. Decision No. 1025, dated December 16, 2020, set the minimum wage at 30,000 lekë. It is no longer valid. Decision No. 1025, dated December 16, 2020 For the determination of the national minimum wage
In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution, Article 111 of Law No. 7961, dated July 12, 1996, “Labor Code of the Republic of Albania,” as amended, and Article 4 of Law No. 10405, dated 24.3.2011, “On Competences in Setting Salaries and Allowances,” on the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Council of MinistersPërmbajtja e vendimit të Këshillit të Ministrave
SET:
1. Paga bazë minimale mujore, për punonjësit, në shkallë vendi, që është e detyrueshme të batohet nga çdo person, juridik a fizik, vendas ose i huaj, të jetë 30,000 (tridhjetë mijë) lekë. 2. Paga bazë minimale mujore jepet për 174 orë pune në muaj, të kryera gjatë kohës normale të punës. 3. Paga bazë minimale orare të jetë 172.4 (njëqind e shtatëdhjetë e dy pikë katër) lekë. 4. Shtesat me karakter të përhershëm jepen mbi pagën bazë. 5. Vendimi nr. 809, dated December 26, 2018, of the Council of Ministers, “For the determination of the national minimum wage”, is repealed. This decision enters into force upon publication in the Official Gazette and its effects extend from January 1, 2021.
