For the determination of the national minimum wage
In support of Article 100 of the Constitution, Article 111 of Law No. 7961 of July 12, 1996, “Labor Code of the Republic of Albania,” as amended, and Article 4 of Law No. 10405 of 24.3.2011, “On Competences in the Determination of Salaries and Allowances,” with the proposal of
Minister of Finance and Economy, Council of Ministers
SET:
1. The minimum monthly basic wage for employees nationwide, which must be paid by every domestic or foreign legal or natural person, shall be 30,000 (thirty thousand) lek.
2. The minimum monthly base wage is paid for 174 hours of work per month, performed during normal working hours.
3. The minimum hourly base wage shall be 172.4 (one hundred seventy-two point four) lek.
4. Permanent allowances are provided on top of the base salary.
5. Decision No. 809, dated December 26, 2018, of the Council of Ministers, “For the determination of the national minimum wage”, is repealed.
This decision takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette and applies retroactively from January 1.
