This section includes the production and distribution of information and cultural products, the provision of means that enable the transmission or distribution of these products, as well as activities related to information technology or information and communication technology, data processing services, and other information services.
The main components of this section are publishing activities (division 58) including publishing programs, motion picture photography, and sound recording activities (division 59), radio and television networks and programming activities (division 60), telecommunications activities (division 61), information technology (division 62), and other information services (division 63).
Publication includes the purchase of content rights (information products) and making that content available to the general public by organizing its reproduction and distribution in various forms.
Also included in this section are all possible forms of publication (in print, in electronic or audio format, on the Internet, as a multimedia product in the form of a CD-ROM, in reference books, etc.), activities related to the production and distribution of TV programming for channels, groups 59, 60, 61, reflecting the different stages in this process.
This section also includes individual components, such as films, television series, etc., that are produced by the activities of group 59, the creation of a complete channel program, from components produced in group 59 or other components (such as live programming) that are included in group 60. Group 60 also includes the transmission of this program by the producer. The distribution of the complete television program by third parties, e.g., without any change to the content, is included in group 61. This distribution in group 61 may be carried out by transmission, satellite system, or cable.
58 Publishing Activities
This category includes the publication of books, brochures, leaflets, dictionaries, encyclopedias, atlases, maps and charts; the publication of newspapers, periodicals and magazines; postal address lists and other publications; as well as software.
Publishing involves acquiring the rights to content (information products) and making that content available to the general public, handling its reproduction and distribution in various forms. All possible forms of publication (in print, in electronic or audio format, on the Internet, as a multimedia product in CD-ROM form, in reference books, etc.) are also included in this section, with the exception of film editions.
This division does not include the publication of films, video tapes, and DVDs or similar formats (group 59) or the production of master copies for the recording of audio material (section 59). Also excluded are printing (see 18.11, 18.12) and mass reproduction of recorded media (see 18.20).
58.1 Publishing of books, periodicals, and other publishing activities
This group includes the activity of publishing books, newspapers, magazines, and other periodicals, mailing address lists, and other products such as photographs, films, engravings, postcards, timetable tables, forms, posters, and reproductions of works of art. These products are characterized by the requirement of intellectual creativity in their development and are usually protected by copyright.

This class includes activities of publishing books in print, electronic (CDs, electronic devices, etc.), audio, or online formats.

If not, the existing unit must secure the right to reproduce and distribute the master recordings. This class also includes sound recording services in a studio or elsewhere, including the production of radio programming (not live).
This class also includes music publishing activities, e.g. the purchase and registration of copyright rights in musical compositions, the promotion, licensing, and use of these compositions in recordings, radio, television, films, live performances, print, and other media.
This also includes the publication of music books and sheet music.
60 Programming and distribution activities
This category includes activities consisting of creating content or acquiring the rights to distribute a program and transmit it, such as radio, television, and data programs, news, talk shows, entertainment programs, and the like. Also included is the transmission of data integrated with radio or TV broadcasting. Transmission may be carried out using various technologies: over-the-air, satellite, cable network, or the Internet. This category also includes the production of programs that are limited in nature (limited format, such as news, sports, educational programs, youth programs), whether on a subscription or non-subscription basis, provided to third parties for public broadcasting.
This separation does not include the distribution of cable and other subscription programming (see separation 61).
60.1 Broadcasting of radio programs

This class includes programs made available free of charge to users as well as programs that are available for a fee to subscribers or television channels.
Also included is the integrated transmission with television broadcasting.
This class does not include:

61 Telecommunications

In the case of transmitting television signals, this may include constructing full television channels (produced under division 60) into package programming for distribution.

Also included is the purchase of network capacity from network owners and operators and the provision of telecommunications services by wire using that capacity to businesses and households.
This class also includes the provision of internet access by an operator of a wired infrastructure. This class does not include:
