Taxpayers prefer online services

The Tax Administration services offered online through the e-Albania portal account for more than 80% of the total, compared to the same services provided at our taxpayer service counters.

For the month of May, more than 19,500 services (certificates, residence certificates, payroll confirmation, etc.) were obtained by taxpayers and individuals through the portal, while about 2,700 documents were issued at service counters. Expressed as a percentage, online services account for 88%, compared to 12% for in-person services, while overall for the first five months of this year the ratio is 81% to 19% (71,500 to 16,500).

The provision of many services online has significantly reduced direct contacts with the administration, long lines, and waiting times.

Taxpayers or interested individuals can access these services directly on the e-Albania portal with just a few simple clicks, saving time and human resources. These are documents that have the same legal validity as those issued at physical service counters.

The Tax Administration encourages the use of its services through the e-Albania portal and remains fully committed to providing taxpayers with high-quality services at any time and at minimal cost.
