The Tax Administration encourages employers to declare their employees' real wages.
The Risk Directorate, under the General Directorate of Taxes, has begun analyzing the level of wage reporting for employees in various professions, comparing it with actual wages in the labor market.
From these analyses, it has been found that some employers report wages for certain occupations that are significantly below the average market rate or are near the minimum wage threshold set for social security and health insurance contributions.
For this reason, the DPT encourages taxpayers to properly fulfill their obligations and to accurately report their employees' actual wages.
The Tax Administration will continue to monitor this phenomenon, and for any irregularity or failure to take corrective action, it will proceed to implement the measures provided for by the applicable legislation.
