“The Tax Residency Certificate can now be obtained online through the e-Albania electronic platform at any time and at no cost.
“The ”Tax Residency Certificate” provides a legally valid document that certifies the payment of taxes on global income in Albania by the requesting entity. This certificate, bearing a digital seal, is recognized by all countries with which Albania has double taxation avoidance and tax evasion prevention agreements.
The General Directorate of Taxes, as part of the Deregulation Reform—one of the Albanian Government's most important initiatives to streamline and modernize public services—has added this new online service for taxpayers.
