For the determination of the national minimum wage
In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution, Article 111 of Law No. 7961 of July 12, 1996, “Labor Code of the Republic of Albania,” as amended, and Article 4 of Law No. 10405 of March 24, 2011, “On Competences in Setting Salaries and Allowances,” on the proposal of the Minister of Finance and Economy, the Council of Ministers
SET:
1. The minimum monthly basic wage for employees nationwide, which must be applied by any domestic or foreign legal or natural person, shall be 32,000 (thirty-two thousand) lek.
2. The basic monthly minimum wage is provided for 174 (one hundred and seventy-four) working hours per month, performed during normal working hours.
3. The minimum hourly base wage shall be 183.9 (one hundred eighty-three point nine) lek.
4. Permanent allowances are provided on top of the base salary.
5. The Decision No. 1025, dated December 16, 2020, The Council of Ministers“ Decree ”On the Determination of the National Minimum Wage" is repealed.
This decision takes effect upon publication in the Official Gazette and extends its financial effects from April 1, 2022.
