SECTION S – OTHER SERVICE ACTIVITIES
This section (as a residual category) includes the activities of associations and organizations, the repair of computers and personal and household goods, and various personal service activities not classified elsewhere.
94 Activities of associations and organizations
This category includes the activities of associations and organizations that represent the interests of specific groups or promote their ideas to a broad audience. These associations and organizations typically have a membership, but their activities may also involve and benefit non-members.
The distribution of this division is determined by the objectives these organizations have: the interests of employers, self-employed individuals, and scientific communities (group 94.1), the interests of employees (group 94.2), or religious, political, cultural, educational interests, or ideas and activities for entertainment (group 94.9).
94.1 Activities of economic, employers', and professional associations and organizations
This group includes activities that support the interests of members of economic associations and organizations and of employers. In the case of professional organizations, this also means promoting the professional interests of their members in their respective professions.
94.11 Activities of economic associations and organizations and employers
This class includes:
- Activities of organizations whose members have as their primary interest the development and proper functioning of enterprises related to a specific profession or activity, including farms, or the creation of a favorable climate for economic development in a particular geographic area or a defined political subdivision.
- Activities of federations, such as associations
- Activities of chambers of commerce, societies, and similar organizations.
- the dissemination of information, representation before government agencies, public relations, and labor negotiations with businesses and employer organizations.
This class does not include:
- activities of the trade union, see 94.20
94.12 Activities of professional associations
This class includes:
- Activities of associations whose members have as their primary interest the application of knowledge or professional practice in a specific field, such as medical associations, legal associations, associations of accountants, associations of engineers, associations of architects, etc.
- Activities of associations or specialists engaged in science, as well as academic and cultural activities, such as associations of writers, painters, artists, journalists, etc.
- the dissemination of information, the development and oversight of standards in practice, representation before government agencies, and public relations for professional organizations.
This class also includes:
- Activities of the study associations.

94.2 Activities of employee unions

This class includes:
- the support of the interests of employees organized in a union
This class also includes:
- the activities of trade unions, whose members are primarily employees interested in presenting their views regarding working conditions and wages through these organizations
- the activities of a company's union, federations, and confederations organized according to professional, regional, structural, etc. criteria.

94.9 Activities of other organizations
This group includes the activities of organizations (other than employers' and employees' organizations, professional associations, and employees' unions) that support the interests of their members.
94.91 Activities of religious organizations
This class includes:
- Activities of religious organizations or individual services directly to worshippers in churches, mosques, temples, synagogues, or other venues.
- Activities of organizations supplying monasteries, convents, and similar institutions.
- Activities of religious shelters
This class also includes:
- Religious funeral service activities This class does not include:

94.92 Activities of political organizations
This class includes:
– the activities of political organizations as well as auxiliary organizations such as the youth associations of a political party.
These organizations primarily engage in mobilizing party members or sympathizers to influence government decision-making. They also engage in disseminating information, public relations, fundraising, etc.
94.99 Activities of other non-profit organizations
This class includes:
- Activities of organizations not directly affiliated with a political party that advocate for public interest causes or issues, raise public awareness to pressure for better policies, raise funds, etc.
- citizen initiatives and protest movements
- environmental and ecological movements
- organizations that support community and educational activities not included above.
- Organizations for the protection and improvement of special groups such as minorities and ethnic groups.
- associations for patriotic purposes, including war veterans' associations,
- Consumer associations
- Automobile associations
- associations for social purposes such as Rotary clubs, etc.
- youth associations, student associations, clubs and fraternities, etc.

95 Repair of computers and personal and household items
This category includes the repair and maintenance of computer equipment such as desktops, laptops, computer terminals, data storage devices, and printers. It also includes the repair of communication equipment such as fax machines, two-way radios, and electronic devices such as radios and TVs, household and gardening appliances, such as lawn mowers and fans, footwear and leather goods, furniture and home furnishings, clothing and clothing accessories, sporting goods, musical instruments, hobby items, and other personal and family items.
Not included in this division are the repair of medical and diagnostic imaging equipment, measuring and surveying instruments, laboratory instruments, radar and hydro locator equipment; see 33.13.
95.1 Repair of computers and communication equipment
This group includes the repair and maintenance of computers, peripheral devices, and communication equipment.
95.11 Repair of computers and peripheral equipment
This category includes the repair of electronic equipment, such as computers, calculating machines, and peripheral devices.
This class includes the repair and maintenance of:
- desktop computers
- laptops
- magnetic disk drive, flash drive, and other devices for storing information.
- Optical disc drive (CD-RW, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM, DVD-RW)
- printers
- of the monitors
- of the keyboards
- mice, levers, and trackball accessories
- Internal and external computer modem
- dedicated computer terminals
- computer servers
- scanner, including barcode scanners
- smart card reader
- virtual reality headset
- computer projectors
This class also includes the repair and maintenance of:
- computer terminals such as automated teller machines (ATMs); point-of-sale (POS) terminals that are not mechanically operated.
- handheld computer (PDAs)
This class does not include:
- repair and maintenance of modems as communication equipment, see 95.12
95.12 Repair of communication equipment
This class includes the repair and maintenance of communication equipment such as:
- Cordless phones
- cell phones
- modem communication device
- Fax
- communication transmission equipment (such as lines, bridges, modems)
- radio transceiver
- TV commercials and video cameras
95.2 Repair of personal and household items
This category includes the repair and servicing of personal and household items.
95.21 Repair of consumer electronic equipment
This class includes the repair and maintenance of consumer electronic devices:
- repairing consumer electronics:
- television, radio receiver
- cassette tape (VCR)
- CD players
- family-style video camera
95.22 Repair of household electrical appliances and home and garden equipment
This class includes the repair and servicing of household appliances and home and garden equipment:
- repair and service of household appliances
- refrigerator, stove, washing machines, clothes dryers, room air conditioner, etc.
- Repair and services for home and garden equipment
- grass mower, sharpener, snow blower and fan blade, adjustable condenser, etc.
This class does not include:
- repair of portable equipment with an incorporated motor, see 33.12

95.23 Repair of shoes and leather goods
This class includes the repair and maintenance of shoes and leather goods:
- Repairing boots, shoes, luggage, and other items.

- reupholstering, refinishing, repairing, and restoring furniture and fixtures, including office equipment
95.25 Repair of watches, wall clocks, and jewelry
This class includes:

96 Other service activities
This division includes all unclassified service activities. It includes services such as the washing and cleaning of textiles and fur articles, hair and other beauty treatments, funeral services and related activities, etc.
96.0 Other service activities
96.01 Washing and cleaning of textiles and fur products
This class includes:
- Wash and dry-clean, iron all types of garments (including furs)
and textiles, from mechanical equipment, whether operated by hand or by self-service coin-operated machines, regardless of whether for the general public or for industrial and commercial clients.
- Collection of clothes and their distribution
- Washing of carpets, rugs, fabrics, and curtains, at the client's premises or off-site.
This class does not include:
- the rental of clothing other than work uniforms, in the evening, if the cleaning of these is an integral part of the activity, see 77.29
- Repairing and modifying clothing, etc., as an independent activity, see 95.29
96.02 Hair and other beauty treatments
This class includes:
- hair washing, cutting, curling, coloring, perms, and similar activities for men and women
- Shaving the beard and mustache
- facial massages, manicures and pedicures, makeup, etc.
This class does not include:

96.03 Funeral services and related activities
This class includes:
- the burial and cremation of the bodies of human beings or animals and related activities:
- preparation of bodies for burial and cremation, embalming, and funeral home services

- Rental of premises for funeral arrangements
- Renting or selling graves
- maintenance of graves and mausoleums
This class does not include:

96.04 Body maintenance activities
This class includes:
- activities at the Turkish bath, sauna and steam bath, solarium, slimming salons, massage salons, etc.

96.09 Other miscellaneous activities
This class includes:
- Activities of astrologers and spiritualists
- Activities related to social life, such as activities of matchmaking and marriage agencies.

- Tattooing and piercing activities
- shoe-shining activities, doormen, vehicle parking, etc.
- Self-service machines that accept coin insertion into the automatic machine (such as photo machines, scales, blood pressure machines, coin-operated vending machines, etc.)
