The General Directorate of Taxes, in implementation of Government Decree 143, dated February 13, 2020, ”Procedures for issuing authorizations to reconstruction entities and for exempting the supply of goods and services from value-added tax for the purposes of the reconstruction process,” it notes, adding that it continues to issue authorizations and fully monitor this process.
All taxpayers who have submitted a request for VAT exemption, for the reconstruction process and have not received a response, are requested to inquire with the General Directorate of Taxes, because a significant number of reply letters have been returned by the postal service, as it was unable to locate the address provided by the taxpayer.
The Tax Administration remains fully committed to providing assistance and information to any interested party, as well as to rigorously enforcing this process.
